Bead Works Part 2

So earlier, I posted about my organizer, now I’m posting some of my creations :)

I posted some time ago about starting a business of accessories. Anj found a link for beginners bead workshop and so I tried it out earlier today. You pay 2,800 for the workshop, all materials are yours after the session and snacks are provided. The beginners module consists of techniques, coloring, pricing and resource locations. We had a bonus of an intro to advance wiring and had extended for 45 minutes. Hehehe :)

The workshop was so fun! Though I had shaking hands after putting beads together and twisting and curling wires. Hehehe. Here’s one I made, ID holder :)

I want a bead organizer like this one (Quiapo Wellmanson)!

Here’s another one I made, a bracelet with silk chord. Didn’t like the way it turned out, too much gold I think. But mom liked it, so it’s probably for the, errrr, upper ages :p

If you see the right most bead, that’s what they call tassel. It can be a bag, necklace or bracelet accessory.

We were also taught how to make earrings. These are the second to the hardest to make because you need to maintain symmetry. -_- Turquoise! :) Sorry for the bad pictures, I’m too lazy to set the camera =))

And the HARDEST lesson. Wiring >.< It was fun but verryyy tiring. I twisted for about 15 minutes, it feels like a I’m gonna have cramps after. Haha. Also a bonus, brooch making. The accent above was supposed to be a brooch but we decided to make it an accent to a cuff instead. I still have uneven wires as outcome :p

Here is it when worn:

The wires were scratched as I’m using pliers with ridges. I guess it’s time for another Quiapo visit :p
